2 Junior Professor Positions (W1) in Marketing

The Westfälische Wilhelms-Universität Münster, Germany, is inviting applications for

2 junior professor positions (W1)

in

marketing

at the Muenster School of Business Administration and Economics (Marketing Center Muenster).

 

Candidates should represent the subject marketing in research and teachings. Furthermore, they should have a strong research record with a quantitative, empirical orientation and publications in leading academic journals. We are looking for two candidates with profound knowledge in the following areas:

 

  • Junior professor 1: Consumer Behaviour, Marketing Communications, Brand Management
  • Junior professor 2: Empirical Marketing Research, Multivariate Data Analysis, Direct Marketing, Customer Relationship Management

 

The applicant will be expected to have demonstrated excellence in these research areas with outstanding results, to actively participate in the teaching program, and to develop his own independent research profile.

 

A successful applicant is expected to teach courses in marketing (4 hours per week in the first and 5 hours per week in the second phase), to supervise bachelor, master and doctoral theses, to build up a research group, and to provide some general services for the Marketing Center Muenster and the Muenster School of Business Administration and Economics.

 

At the beginning the position will be filled for three years (first phase). In case of a positive evaluation, the appointment will be prolonged by additional three years (second phase).

 

Graduation from a university (Business Administration or Mathematics) and teaching aptitude as well as a particular capability for scientific work (normally an outstanding doctoral thesis) are preconditions. Previous employment in the German university system – whether prior or subsequent to the awarding of the degree – should not have exceeded six years.
