The Department of Marketing at Washington State University is seeking applications in anticipation of filling a permanent full-time tenure-track Assistant Professor position at the main campus in Pullman. The position begins August 16, 2008.

A Ph.D. (or within one year of completion) in marketing or closely related field from a nationally or internationally recognized university is required. Qualified candidates must have a demonstrated record of research published in and/or research targeted towards the field’s leading journals and demonstrate a suitable fit with the department’s research environment and the goals of the Ph.D. program. Preference will be given to candidates with strong quantitative training and research focused on the areas of strategy or consumer behavior. Candidates will be expected to teach graduate and undergraduate courses, including, but not limited to, market research and marketing principles. An interest in and ability to be actively involved with the Ph.D. program is required. Normal teaching load is six hours (2 courses per semester). Salary and benefits are competitive and initial summer research support is normally available.
