About the School:

The Indian School of Business (ISB) (http://www.isb.edu) is a newly established, research-driven, management school in Hyderabad, India. The school is a unique, collaborative effort of eminent business leaders, entrepreneurs and academics from around the world. The ISB has formal associations with three of the world’s leading business schools – the Kellogg School of Management, the Wharton School and the London Business School. The school launched its One Year Post Graduate Programme in Management (PGP – on par with the best of two-year MBA Courses offered by other premier institutions worldwide) in June 2001, and has successfully graduated and placed five classes of PGP students.

The ISB’s faculty body is composed of resident and visiting faculty, both drawn from the top business schools in the US and Europe. Recently recruited permanent faculty members at the ISB have published in leading academic journals in their respective fields.

The infrastructure and facilities at the ISB are unparalleled.  The Learning Resource Centre at the ISB provides a strong research support to the faculty in their research work.

The school invites applications for full time tenure track faculty positions in the area of Marketing at Assistant Professor level.

Job Qualifications:

Candidates for assistant professor positions must demonstrate the ability to produce scholarly work at the highest level, and also show the capability of becoming outstanding teachers.

The Department of Marketing and International Business of the C.W. Post Campus of Long Island University invites applications for an anticipated tenure-track faculty position starting in September 2007.  The department is seeking either Assistant or Associate professor who can teach standard undergraduate and graduate courses, such as, Marketing Principles, Consumer Behavior and Marketing Research.  Prior teaching and/or research focus in one or more of the following areas is a plus: International Business, Advertising, and E-Marketing.  Successful candidates should have a completed Ph.D. degree in Marketing from an AACSB-accredited school by summer 2007; a demonstrated record of research and/or strong potential for research.  Relevant work experience is a plus.  Salary is competitive.

The School of Business and Technology at the University of Wisconsin-Parkside invites applications for a full-time position as an Assistant/Associate Professor of Marketing beginning August 2007.

The undergraduate Business and MBA programs are accredited by the AACSB. The School offers baccalaureate programs in Business, Management Information Systems, and Computer Science. The Business program supports concentrations in accounting, finance, human resource management, marketing and general business. There are approximately 600 business majors and 80 M.B.A. students. The School has 26 FTE faculty and academic staff. Well-known firms such as Daimler-Chrysler Corporation, Case New Holland (CNH), Jockey International, JohnsonDiversey, S.C. Johnson & Son, Inc., and Snap-on, Inc. are located minutes from the University. Other firms such as Harley-Davidson, Johnson Controls, Northwestern Mutual, Abbott Laboratories, and Cardinal Health are located in nearby Milwaukee and Northern Illinois.

Qualifications

Required: Ph.D. or D.B.A. in Marketing. ABD will be considered for a one-year terminal appointment as a Lecturer with conversion to tenure track Assistant Professor if all requirements for the Ph.D. have been successfully completed by June 2008. Applicants must be able to teach sections of undergraduate Introduction to Marketing, Buyer Behavior, and Marketing Research. Candidates are expected to teach other marketing courses in the undergraduate and MBA programs, as needed. Applicants must provide evidence of quality teaching and a commitment to scholarly research. For appointment  at the associate rank, the applicant must meet these requirements and provide evidence of an active journal publication record that is commensurate with the department requirements for this rank.

Preferred: Completed doctorate in Marketing from an AACSB accredited institution is strongly preferred. Preference also will be given to candidates that (1) have peer-reviewed journal publications, successful teaching record, relevant business experience, and active community involvement; (2) are familiar with the increasingly diverse demographics of consumers and how increased diversity influences marketing; (3) are familiar with ethical issues in marketing, such as the relationship between marketing, media, diversity, and social justice; and (4) have experience working with students from a variety of economic, cultural and linguistic backgrounds and the use of a variety of pedagogical styles.

Responsibilities:

Primary responsibilities include teaching undergraduate and graduate marketing courses, research and publication, and involvement in department, campus, and/or community service.

Salary:

Commensurate with qualifications and experience. Competitive with AACSB standards. The UW-System provides a liberal fringe benefits package including participation in a state pension plan.
