ICCA’S SECOND INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE
GLOBALIZATION AND THE GOOD CORPORATION
June 26-28, 2007
Vertical Campus, Baruch College, New York
CALL FOR PAPERS
International Center for Corporate Accountability (ICCA) is pleased to announce its Second International Conference to be held at the Vertical Campus of Baruch College in New York City. The general theme of the conference is “Globalization and the Good Corporation.”
This conference will build on the success of ICCA’s First International Conference that was held in May of 2004. The theme of that conference was “Corporate Codes of Conduct for Multinational Corporations: Promises and Challenges.” For more details on the conference, please visit our website: www.icca-corporateaccountability.org
Interested individuals should initially submit a proposal (maximum 500 words). It should include a brief description of the subject matter, research methodology, conclusions and recommendations for future action/research. Deadline for proposal submission is February 16, 2007.
We seek original papers that focus on the issues covered under the umbrella theme of “Globalization and the Good Corporation.” Among the topic areas to be covered at the conference are:
- Global Initiatives in Corporate Social Responsibility and Sustainability
- Globalization and Corporate Social Accountability
- Corporate Global Citizenship
- Corporate Governance and Corporate Reputation
- Managing for Results – Business Ethics, Corporate Responsibility and Corporate Social Accountability
- Triple Bottom Line – People, Planet, and Profit
- Shareholder Activism
- NGOs as Civil Society Organizations
- Case Studies – Learning from Experience
A selected group of papers presented at the conference (and subject to further peer review) would be included in special issues of a number of leading professional journals. These are: Journal of Business Ethics, Business and Society Review, Business Ethics Quarterly, Journal of Transnational Corporations (UNCTAD, Switzerland), and Corporate Governance (UK).
