Conference Announcement and Request for Paper/Proposal Submission
The Center for Research on Information Technology and Organizations (CRITO), University of California, Irvine and the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras, are pleased to announce an international conference on Home/Community Oriented ICT for the Next Billion. The conference will be held in Chennai, India and the dates are August 22-25, 2007. The conference is organized under the auspices of IFIP (International Federation of Information Processing: Division 9.3).
The purpose of the conference is to present papers, exchange ideas between and among researchers and professionals from the academe, industry and public sector concerning the development, applications and user experiences/impacts relating to information and communication technologies for home, personal and community (including rural) environments. The participants will include researchers and specialists from universities, research organizations, industry and government. The conference is multi-disciplinary in approach and will represent the social sciences, computer science, engineering, art and humanities, and management.
