ACADEMY OF MARKETING SCIENCE ANNUAL CONFERENCE
May 23 – 26, 2007

Submission Deadline for Papers and Special Session/Panel Proposals: November 15, 2006.

Please make plans to attend the 2007 AMS Annual Conference to be held at the historic Biltmore Hotel in Coral Gables, Florida, which is located in the Miami area. The AMS Conferences that were held at the Biltmore in the 1990s are still discussed among attendees as especially memorable events.

The theme of the 2007 conference is "Making Marketing Accountable in a Turbulent World."  Conference Co-Chairs Neeli Bendapudi, Stephen Kim, and David W. Stewart and an outstanding group of track chairs have already begun planning for what will be an outstanding conference.  In addition to the competitive paper tracks, AMS also features a number of other important participatory and award opportunities, including:

  • Doctoral Consortium Track – welcoming manuscripts from doctoralstudents around the world and providing formal and informal opportunities throughout the conference for networking with otherdoctoral students and with leading scholars.
  • Mary Kay Doctoral Dissertation Competition – doctoral candidates in marketing who have defended, or will defend, a dissertation during thecalendar years 2006 or 2007 are eligible to submit an abstract intocompetition for this prestigious award.
  • AMS Outstanding Teachers’ Award Competition Sponsored by South-Western College Publishing and Lamb, Hair, & McDaniel – this yearLen Berry will be receiving nominations and applications forconsideration for this honor, with winners selected by the AMS Board of Governors (details available on the AMS web site).
  • A host of other AMS awards including the Jane K. Fenyo Student PaperCompetition, M. Wayne Delozier Best Conference Paper, Stanley C.Hollander Best Retailing Paper, and William R. Darden Award for BestResearch Methodology Paper.
