Towson University’s Department of Marketing and e-Business invites applications for a tenure-track position as Assistant Professor in Marketing and e-Business for Fall 2007.

Of particular interest are individuals with competency in strategic marketing, personal selling/sales management, and/or international marketing.  Complementary interest in e-Business/e-Marketing or marketing research is a plus.

Applicants should possess a Ph.D./DBA or equivalent in marketing from an AACSB accredited university and must provide evidence of both quality teaching and scholarly research potential.  (ABD’s with significant progress will be considered if completion of the degree is expected to be achieved by February 1, 2008.)  The position requires a teaching load of nine credit hours per semester for the first three years.  The salary is competitive.  Review of resumes will begin upon receipt of full documentation and will continue until the position has been filled.

Position:  The College of Administration and Business invites applications for  the Department Head of Marketing and Analysis with service commencing in  the summer or fall of 2007.  The Department Head’s responsibilities are to  provide administrative and academic leadership within the department, teach a  reduced load of classes, engage in appropriate scholarly research, promote  appropriate scholarly research in the department, support faculty development,  and contribute to the overall activities of the College.  The department head  will have the opportunity to provide curriculum guidance in marketing and  quantitative analysis at the undergraduate, master’s, and doctoral levels.  The  College provides a major in marketing at the undergraduate level, a specialty  in marketing or quantitative analysis at the MBA level, and a major and minor  in both marketing and quantitative analysis at the DBA level.  

Qualifications:  Candidates should possess an earned terminal degree (Ph.D.  or DBA) in marketing or quantitative analysis (statistics or operations  research) from an AACSB-accredited university, present a record of ongoing  scholarly research and publication sufficient to support appointment as a  tenure-track Associate or Full Professor, provide evidence of leadership in an  academic environment, and be familiar with AACSB standards and  procedures.

Location:  Louisiana Tech University is in Ruston, Louisiana, which is  located in the north-central part of the state.  Nestled among the rolling hills  and pines, Ruston is located on Interstate 20 and is 65 miles east of  Shreveport, 30 miles west of Monroe, 150 miles south of Little Rock,  Arkansas, and 300 miles north of New Orleans.

POSITION – The College of Business at Northern Michigan University is seeking applicants for a tenure-track assistant or associate professor position in the area of Marketing beginning in August 2007.  We invite you to live and work in an environment which was recently ranked as one of America’s most livable cities, and on a campus where technology is used to enhance student learning. 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES – The likely teaching assignments include a range of courses in marketing such as Introduction to Marketing, Consumer Behavior, Services Marketing, E-commerce and Marketing, and Marketing for Entrepreneurs. Other responsibilities include advising, program development, outcomes assessment, scholarship, and service activities. The College of Business is AACSB accredited, and scholarly publications are expected. 

QUALIFICATIONS – The preferred applicant will possess a doctorate in marketing from an AACSB accredited university. Applicants who are ABD and very close to completing their dissertation will be considered at the instructor level with appointment to assistant professor upon completion of the degree.  Applicants for appointment at the Assistant/Associate Professor level must have an appropriate record of teaching and intellectual contributions. Related work experience in business and industry and teaching experience are also desirable.  Interest in and/or experience with distance education and internationalization are definite pluses.

PROGRAMS – The College of Business offers bachelor’s degree programs in accounting, accounting/computer information systems, accounting/financial planning, computer information systems, entrepreneurship, finance, personal financial planning, management, marketing, ski area business management, and business education, as well as four associate degree programs.  Northern Michigan University’s enrollment is approximately 9,400 with about 970 of these students majoring in College of Business programs. 

COMMUNITY INFORMATION – The University is located in Marquette, Michigan, an award-winning community on the beautiful southern shore of Lake Superior. Marquette is the cultural, economic, and medical center of the Upper Peninsula of Michigan.  Recreational activities are ideal during all seasons of the year.

Visiting Professor of Marketing

The University of West Florida invites applications for a one-semester Visiting Professor position in Marketing, to start in January 2007. Preferred candidates will have a Ph.D. in field from an AACSB accredited school at the time of appointment. Candidates at all ranks are encouraged to apply. ABDs will also be considered. This is not a tenure-track position. Salary is competitive and commensurate with credentials and experience.

This is primarily a teaching position; however, research activity is encouraged.  Teaching responsibilities will include Consumer Behavior and Marketing Fundamentals.  Other areas may be considered upon request by exceptional candidates.

The UWF College of Business is AACSB accredited and growing.
