The Department of Marketing at Colorado State University is seeking applications for two tenure-track Assistant Professor positions beginning August 2007. Responsibilities will include teaching at the undergraduate and graduate levels, publishing research in high quality marketing journals, and service to the university, college and department. Qualifications include a Ph.D. (or ABD near completion) in marketing or a related field at the time of appointment. We seek candidates who show strong promise for publishing in the top marketing journals and for teaching effectively in undergraduate and graduate courses.
CSU is located in Fort Collins, CO, which is 60 miles north of Denver; the city offers an ideal climate and access to a wide variety of recreational opportunities. The Department of Marketing is a very collegial group that currently has nine tenure-track faculty members and serves approximately 2,000 undergraduate and 500 MBA students.
For full consideration, applications should be received by June 26, 2006; however, applications will be accepted until the position is filled. The University of Central Florida Department of Marketing anticipates (contingent on funding) two tenure-track positions: one at any rank and one at the assistant/associate professor rank. Start date is August 2007. Positions require a doctorate in marketing (or related field) from an accredited institution; applicants in ABD status will be considered. Preference is for senior rank (professor) candidates to have consumer behavior as the focal area of research. For applicants at the associate or assistant ranks, preference is for individuals with consumer behavior or modeling (with strengths in econometrics) research interests. Candidates must demonstrate commitment to a significant program of scholarly research leading to publication in our premier journals, and strong communication and teaching skills. ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR /ASSISTANT PROFESSOR / VISITING SCHOLARS, LINGNAN UNIVERSITY, HK 2006 / 2007
Lingnan University is a distinctive liberal arts institution in the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region. It offers honours bachelor’s degrees and postgraduate programmes up to the doctoral level.
Applications are now invited for the post of Associate Professor / Assistant Professor for the academic year of 2006-07 by the Department of Marketing and International Business at Lingnan University, Hong Kong. We also consider appointing suitable candidates as Visiting Scholars on a shorter-term basis for 2006 / 2007. Nine hours per week teaching is required to teach Marketing Undergraduate courses. Areas of teaching specialization include: Buyer Behaviour, Integrated Marketing Communications, International Marketing Management, Retailing and Distribution Management and Services Marketing.
Applicants for the position at Assistant Professorship or above should have a Ph.D. degree in the relevant discipline. For appointment as an Associate Professor, applicants should have five years of relevant experience and a sound track record of teaching and research. The appointment will be made on a fixed-term contract normally of three years, commencing 16 August 2006. Candidates with strong research background are especially encouraged to apply. Compensation will be commensurate with the qualifications and experience ( up to approximately HKD72,700 / USD9,369 per month ). Travel and housing allowance are provided to for the eligible appointee.
