Assistant Professor of Marketing Position
The University of North Carolina Wilmington announces an anticipated tenure-track position in Marketing at the Assistant Professor level, beginning Fall, 2007. Successful applicants should be committed to excellence in teaching and success in research/publication. The ideal candidate will have an interest in teaching at least two of the following: Marketing Research, International Marketing, Marketing Management or Principles of Marketing. Other specialty areas will also be considered. Candidates with an earned Ph.D. are preferred, but ABDs with completion of degree by August 1, 2007 will be considered.
UNCW boasts a beautiful 661 acre wooded campus with approximately 11,600 students, and is one of the fastest growing institutions in the University of North Carolina system. The Cameron School of Business is AACSB accredited. The marketing department at Appalachian State University invites applications for a nine-month assistant or associate professor position beginning either January 2007 or August 2007. Applicants should have an earned (or in near completion of) PhD in marketing from an AACSB accredited university. Candidates are expected to provide instruction in a broad array of marketing courses. Instructional duties will include student advisement and curriculum development and may include on-line instruction and/or instruction at off-campus sites. In addition to instructional duties, faculty members are expected to maintain an active program of scholarship as well as participate in service activities.

Jennifer Petters Chair in Asian Business

The Richard T. Farmer School of Business at Miami University invites applications for the position of the Jennifer Petters Chair in Asian Business. A national search is underway to attract to campus an individual of national and international stature who will provide scholarship and leadership in the area of Asian business with an emphasis on China.
Applicants should have a terminal degree (Ph.D., D.B.A., or J.D.) and a distinguished and ongoing record of both teaching and research in an area of international business that would merit appointment as a tenured full professor in one of the six departments in the school. The ideal applicant will also have demonstrated effectiveness in program development and the ability to interact with a wide range of constituents including faculty, administration, students, alumni, and the business community (both domestic and international). Applicants with a working knowledge of Mandarin will be viewed favorably.
Miami University is participating in a multi-university collaborative effort to develop a Living and Learning Center in Shanghai in conjunction with the Petters Group Worldwide. The proposed residential center will constitute an educational facility to serve academic and business communities worldwide. The Petters Chair is expected to play an important role in the development of the learning center. In addition to leading a major strategic initiative of the School, the chair will serve as a member of the Petters Center for Ethics, Leadership, and Professional Skills Development. The compensation package is commensurate with qualifications.

Position

It is expected that the successful applicant participates in the seminars, workshops and other similar activities of the Department and the School. It must be stated clearly in the application which position you are applying for.
Profile
Associate Professors: Applicants should have a good scientific background in at least one of the areas mentioned. The qualifications must be documented by a significant number of high quality published contributions. Applicants should also have teaching experience and a documented ability for good teaching at a university level. In addition the ability to disseminate research results is desirable.
Assistant Professors: Applicants should have a PhD. The successful applicant must have documented a potential for contributing to the relevant research areas and for good teaching.

- The appointment will take place in accordance with the agreement between the Ministry of Finance and the Danish Federation of Professional Organizations. In addition to this, an allowance may be agreed upon depending on the applicant’s qualifications and experience. Health insurance is provided free of charge for Danish residents.
- Up to 10 of the best and for the position most relevant publications may be submitted with the application. For joint publications the application must contain statement from the coauthor about the applicant’s share of the work. Information on previous teaching experience must be enclosed.
