The Department of Marketing in the College of Business and Economics invites applications for an assistant professor tenure-track position in Marketing to begin August 2007.  The position is subject to final authorization from the University.  Requirements include earned doctorate in marketing (or ABD status in final stage of degree completion) from a college of business.  Preference will be given to candidates whose primary interests are in the areas of professional selling/sales management or retailing.  A strong interest in undergraduate and graduate teaching, evidence of research potential, and a capacity to support efforts to enhance the marketing curriculum are expected.  Salary and benefits are competitive and depend on the finalist’s qualifications.

Department representatives will be interviewing candidates at the Summer AMA Conference in Chicago, Illinois (August 4 – 7, 2006).

UTS’s School of Marketing has two openings for continuing (tenurable) full-time positions at the Lecturer level, equivalent to US Assistant Professor level.  The School is recognized for excellence in theory-driven, practice-relevant research and teaching in the areas of Strategic Marketing Management, Understanding and Predicting Consumer and Managerial Decision Making, and Marketing Research Theory and Methods; and has a vibrant research culture with strong industry links.
 
Candidates for these positions will need to have earned a PhD at the time of appointment and be able to demonstrate potential for publishing high impact research in leading academic journals; developing and maintaining key industry links, leading to nationally competitive research grants and industry funding; and, contributing to the teaching in undergraduate and/or postgraduate marketing programs.  Candidates from a range of backgrounds will be considered, including marketing, economics and psychology; with preference given to those who can contribute to the School’s areas of excellence.

5) Washington State University Tri-Cities Campus

The Business Program at Washington State University’s Tri-Cities campus is seeking a visiting faculty member in the Department of Marketing for the 2006 academic year.  The appointment begins on August 15, 2006 and ends on May 7, 2007.  Candidates must possess an appropriate doctorate or ABD in Marketing or a closely related field, from a nationally recognized program. Demonstrated commitment to excellence in teaching and teaching effectiveness is required. The primary teaching need in the department is for a graduate level MBA course in Marketing and an undergraduate level Principles of Marketing course, with a secondary need for senior-level marketing electives.  The teaching load is 2 courses per term.  While involvement with research activities in the department is preferred, it is not a requirement for the appointment. Salary is negotiable and commensurate with qualifications.
 
Washington State University is a land grant institution founded in 1890 and is one of two major research universities in the State of Washington. Washington State University Tri-Cities is part of the Washington State University System which is composed of several campuses and learning centers throughout the State.  WSU Tri-Cities is a commuter campus with roughly 1200 students (200 of which are in the business program).  Many of WSU Tri-Cities’ students are employed full time, and most classes are held in the late afternoon and evening.  The business faculty on the Tri-Cities campus consists of seven to eight resident faculty (representing five departments) and about 15 adjunct faculty.
