The Research Fellow will be the investigator and day-to-day project manager for a major funded research project investigating consumer choice behaviour for wine. The Research Fellow will work with the three organisations involved in the project, but will be housed at the University of South Australia’s City West Campus. The organisations are The Ehrenberg-Bass Institute for Marketing Science, The Australian Wine Research Institute, and the Centre for the Study of Choice at the University of Technology Sydney (Prof Jordan Louviere). The position will require substantial time to be spent in Sydney at the beginning of the project (up to 6 months) and some domestic and international travel.
Qualifications:
- Level B – A completed or near complete doctoral qualification or equivalent qualifications and research experience in micro-economics, cognitive psychology, or other related area.
Level C – A relevant doctoral qualification together with an established track record in relevant research and an emerging national profile, plus
- Strong skills in econometrics or statistics relevant to the design and analysis of discrete choice experiments and other forms of choice data
- Experience in limited dependent variable models in econometrics and/or closely related areas in discrete multivariate statistics and/or combinatorial mathematics and the design of statistical experiments.

The marketing department currently consists of 10 members, with a new person joining us from Cornell University this fall. It is a young, promising and mutually supportive team.
