Dear Marketing Academic,
As you may be aware the ACR-Asia-Pacific 2006 Sydney Conference is taking place on the 16th and 17th of June. On the 15th of June we are planning a Doctoral Colloquium for doctoral students across Ausralasia and overseas. Internationally renowned Consumer Behaviour experts, such as Prof. Russell Belk (University of Utah) and Prof. Andrew Mitchell (University of Toronto) will lead the students through a day of presentations, one-on-one meetings with experts and lots of informal interactions. Two International teams of methodological experts (Qualtitative methods and Quantitative methods) will be on hand to make this a great opportunity for students to meet and seek advice from.
This is a colloquium suitable for students in any stage of the PhD. The students need to be enrolled in a doctoral program and will need to articulate their ‘research interests’ or ‘research idea’ in 500 words to enable us plan the day. Full information is available at
http://www.acrasia.org/Public/index.aspx
You can find the following items on the Web site:
- General call to doctoral students announcing the colloquium
- Letter of research interests to be filled in by doctoral student
- Draft program
I am hoping you will bring this to the attention of all your doctoral students.
The Association for Consumer Research is the world’s premier academic research group in Consumer Research (http://www.acrwebsite.org/) and this will be a great opportunity for the students to attend a world class conference as well
Looking forward to seeing many of your doctoral students in Sydney on the 15th of June 2006
Best Regards,
ACR Asia Pacific 2006 Sydney Conference Co-chairs
Margaret Craig Lees, Auckland Institute of Technology
Gary Gregory, University of New South Wales and
