The marketing department at Appalachian State University invites applications for a nine-month visiting position beginning August 2006. Qualifications for this position include: an earned PhD in Marketing from an AACSB accredited university (by August 2006) and be academically qualified. Candidates are expected to provide instruction in a broad array of marketing courses. Instructional duties will include student advisement and curriculum development and may include on-line instruction and/or instruction at off-campus sites. In addition to instructional duties, faculty members are expected to maintain an active program of scholarship as well as participate in service activities.
Appalachian State University is a member institution of the sixteen-campus University of North Carolina System. Located in Boone, North Carolina, the university has approximately 14,500 students and has been ranked by US News and World Report as one of the top 15 among southern regional universities since the rankings first appeared in 1986. Visiting Assistant Professor of Marketing, Department of Management, Marketing, and Business Administration Murray State University. This is a 9-month, non-tenure track position to begin August 2006.
Qualifications: Earned doctorate degree in appropriate field required; ABDs will be considered. Primary area of specialization is Principles of Marketing with a preferred supporting expertise in Sales/Sales Management and other general marketing electives.
Responsibilities: Teach undergraduate Principles of Marketing and Sales/Sales Management courses and possibly a graduate (MBA) course in Marketing Planning and Application in traditional, web, and ITV class formats. Must also engage in research and publication, participate in student advisement, provide university and regional service, and engage in professional development activities.

The Johann Wolfgang Goethe-University in Frankfurt / Main invites applications for the tenured position of a Professor of Marketing in the Department of Marketing at the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration. The candidate will be expected to foster and support the mission of further development of the Marketing Department. In such a department, internationally accepted and established theoretical and empirical research in the various areas of marketing should be practiced and published in top journals.
The applicant is expected to have published his work in prominent international marketing journals (e.g., JMR, Mark.Sc., Man.Sc., JCR, QME, JM, IJRM). The applicant is also expected to be focused on marketing modeling and the measurement of the monetary effects of marketing decisions. Excellent achievements in teaching in required and an ability to teach a broad range of basic and advanced marketing courses to diverse students is expected. Candidates are also expected to teach in the Duke-Goethe executive MBA program.
Additionally, the position requires holding courses in the mid-term both in English and in German as well as engagement in international research co-operation and research projects.
