On November 2, 2005, L. Jean Walker was appointed as the new editor of the Academy of Marketing Studies Journal. The Academy of Marketing Studies Journal is a double blind, refereed journal which publishes theoretical and empirical manuscripts in marketing. Its primary objective is to expand the boundaries of the literature by supporting the exchange of ideas and insights which further the understanding of marketing.

AMSJ is published by the Allied Academies, but the Editorial Board is independent of that body and exercises control over the editorial content. The Journal is currently published twice annually. Authors of manuscripts are invited to make direct submissions at any time. In addition, the Journal encourages participants in Allied Academies’ conferences to submit their manuscripts for simultaneous review. The current time for journal review is approximately three months. Walker, Associate Professor of Marketing at the University of Houston-Clear Lake, received her Ph.D. from Florida State University, her M.B.A. from Florida Atlantic University, and her B.A. cum laude from West Virginia University.  Her work has been published in the Journal of Service Research, Journal of Marketing Theory and Practice, Journal of Services Marketing, Journal of Business-to-Business Marketing, Service Industries Journal, Journal of Marketing Channels, Journal of Consumer Marketing, Business Horizons, Journal of Business Disciplines, Journal of Quality Management, Journal of Organizational Culture, Communications, and Conflict, Journal of Educaton for Business, and International Journal of Nonprofit and Voluntary
