CALL FOR PAPERS

Special session on:

International Trade and Trading with the Czech and Slovak Republics

June 27 to 28, 2006

The Czechoslovak Society of Arts and Sciences and the University of South Bohemia will hold its 2006 SVU Congress co-sponsored by the Statutory City of Česke Budějovice and the Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic in Česke Budějovice, June 25 to July 2, 2006.

The special session will be held to highlight recent developments in international trade with the Czech and Slovak Republics from both internal and external perspectives.  Recent research studies concerning research and experiences with trading practices on macro or micro levels will also be examined.  Special emphasis will be placed on entrepreneurial, financial, managerial, and marketing issues concerned with implementation of international trade and trading experiences.  Interested researchers, academics, and public policy administrators can submit papers for presentation.  Submitted papers will be refereed and authors will be notified regarding the final acceptance of their submissions.  Research papers, case studies, concepts and policy papers are welcome.

Although the session will be held in English, contributors from all countries interested in international trade issues are invited to participate.  A special invitation is extended to potential contributors from the Czech and Slovak Republics and international doctoral students interested in trade issues concerning the Czech and Slovak Republics.

Papers should not be more than ten pages in length, written in English, and should be prepared according to the University of Chicago style manual (K.L. Turabian, A Manual for Writers.  Chicago: The University of Chicago Press, 1987).  Papers are due February 28, 2006.  Authors will be notified by March 15, 2006 regarding their acceptance.  Final papers will be due May 15, 2006. All submissions must be made by electronic mail using a standard Microsoft Word program.  Please send your papers to: george.tesar@fek.umu.se.
