Nathan joined Cventover 8+ years ago as part of the Client Services team where he focused on supporting complex event setups and ecommerce before transitioning to Product Management, where he now runs the payment and self-service products. He is one of the co-founders of Cvent’s LGBTQ+ Employee Resource Group and active in companywide diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts. Outside of work his passions include travel, asian bbq, and spending time with his dog Koji.

Michelle Hobby is a Program Manager, Events and Meetings at National Industries for the Blind, a national nonprofit organization located in Alexandria, Virginia. Michelle is an industry leader for over 15 years of experience in every aspect of meeting and event planning. Her history of building programs that are truly inclusive and accommodating is evident by a 30% growth in attendance at NIB’s national conferences over the past 5 years. Michelle has worked tirelessly to move beyond the standard ADA requirements for her clients to ensure that every detail is covered—including the venue, technology, food & beverage labeling for the visually impaired, as well as public safety and security. During the pandemic Michelle had to pivot to virtual and hybrid events; however, her audience had specific requirements that were needed for attendee accommodation and accessibility. In addition to Michelle’s meeting and event planning role she also manages National Industries for theBlind 10,000 square-foot Event Center, which hosts outside groups for all types of events and meetings. Michelle has been married for over 20 years and is a partner with her husband in Capital Construction and Engineering LLC.

Chapter’s Chairperson’s Award for his exceptional service to the association.
