Join us for an immersive experience designed exclusively for incoming AMA Chapter Presidents and President-Elects. This two-day, high-impact event will equip you with the knowledge, skills, tools, and network needed to lead your chapter successfully while building leadership skills that will support your career growth and prepare you for future board service.

Leading an AMA chapter is only one part of your life. You have a career, family, and other volunteer obligations that require you to show up as an authentic leader, and this event is designed for that. Sessions are tailored to help you:
- Strategic Leadership Skills: Learn how to lead with confidence, set a vision for your chapter, and drive impactful change.
- Board & Governance Readiness: Learn how to navigate bylaws, succession planning, compliance, and ethical leadership to ensure a strong, sustainable chapter
- Personal Brand & Executive Presence: Learn how to position yourself as a leader, build credibility, and prepare for future board service.
- Leadership Communication & Difficult Conversations: Strengthen your ability to inspire, collaborate, and handle challenging leadership moments with confidence and diplomacy
- National AMA Network: Connect with fellow chapter leaders, share experiences, and build relationships that extend beyond your chapter.
Who Should Attend Leadership Labs?
There is a maximum of two attendees per chapter. This event is designed exclusively for:
- Incoming chapter Presidents for the 2025-2026 term
- Incoming chapter President-Elects who will serve as President for the 2026-27 term*
*If you have not selected a President-Elect who will serve as President for the 2026-27 term, you may send a delegate you consider a future chapter president.
The topics and sessions are geared specifically for those roles to ensure you are set up for success with the skills needed to manage a team and lead your chapter.
Schedule
- Friday, May 9: Arrive in time for the opening session at 5:00 PM EST.
- Saturday, May 10: Full day, ending with a Closing Dinner from 6:00-8:00 pm EST
There are no Sunday sessions, so you can plan to leave as early as desired. As you plan your schedules, note that Sunday, May 11, is Mother’s Day. We recommend booking flights early.

Fees & Costs
We are committed to making Leadership Labs 2025 as accessible as possible.
- No registration fees
- Travel grants will be provided to offset the cost for up to two attendees per chapter (Incoming Presidents and President-Elects or a delegate).
