The 2016 Marketing Research Productivity Lists tracking top individual and institutional contributors to the premier journals are now available at ama.org.

For the second year, V. Kumar of the J. Mack Robinson College of Business at Georgia State University topped both the Author Productivity in the Premier AMA Journals (Journal of Marketing and Journal of Marketing Research) and the Author Productivity in the Premier Marketing Journals (Journal of Consumer Research, Journal of Marketing, Journal of Marketing Research, and Marketing Science).

Christian Homburg of the University of Mannheim and Robert Palmatier of the University of Washington were the second and third most published authors in the 2016 Author Productivity in the Premier AMA Journals. Homburg was in the same slot in the 2015 list. Last year, Palmatier was ranked fourth along with five other authors.

The 2016 Author Productivity in the Premier Marketing Journals once again had three authors ranked as second most productive. In 2015, Darren Dahl of the University of British Columbia, Christian Homburg of the University of Mannheim, and Chris Janiszewski of the University of Florida shared the slot. This year, Dahl and Homburg shared the ranking with Ravi Dhar of Yale University.

The University of Pennsylvania continues to be the top producing institution on both lists as it has been for the last four years.

Each year the AMA DocSIG independently manages the creation of the four lists including two author lists and two school lists:

The lists acknowledge the top individual and school contributors to the premier marketing journals and are a powerful resource for prospective doctoral students considering their application decisions as well as those doctoral students who are on the job market. The 2016 lists represent 10-years of publications from 2007 - 2016.
